From developing one of the first antibiotics to pioneering research in HIV science, our focus has always been on the prevention and treatment of diseases that threaten people and communities around the world. Our scientists embarked on an urgent mission to unravel and understand the virus, which led to groundbreaking research in HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are still driven to do more. We are pushing the boundaries of HIV science because unmet medical need still endures. We are proud to be part of the global public-private partnership that has united government, industry, community groups, scientists, health care workers and ordinary people, to come together to help fight this deadly disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns border-top-1 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:32%\">\n<h3 class=\"mr-2 wp-block-heading\">Programs that can make a difference<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>We are leading programs that reach patients where they already are<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help address disparities in HIV care, our Foundation established HIV Care Connect. The multi-site initiative aims to reduce disparities in access to HIV care and help improve health outcomes for people living with HIV in the Southeastern U.S. who are disproportionately
